Wagering requirements explained, with real numbers

What a wagering requirement is
A wagering (or rollover, or turnover) requirement is how much you must bet before bonus money — and often your deposit — can be withdrawn. “30x” means you must place bets worth 30 times a stated amount.
Check the basis: bonus or deposit + bonus
Example: you deposit ₱1,000 and get a 100% bonus of ₱1,000 with 30x wagering.
- If wagering is on the bonus only: 30 × ₱1,000 = ₱30,000 in bets.
- If wagering is on deposit + bonus: 30 × ₱2,000 = ₱60,000 in bets.
The same “30x” can mean twice as much betting. Always find the basis in the terms.
The expected cost of clearing a bonus
Every game has a house edge. Over many bets you should expect to lose about that share of everything you bet. On a slot with 96% RTP (4% house edge), ₱30,000 of bets costs about ₱1,200 on average — more than the ₱1,000 bonus. At ₱60,000 the expected cost is about ₱2,400.
That is an average, not a promise: you may lose your whole balance long before you finish, or win. But it shows why a big bonus with high wagering usually costs more than it is worth. Our bonus calculator does this maths for you.
Rules that can void your bonus
- Game weighting: table games or live casino may count only 10–20% (or nothing) towards wagering.
- Maximum bet: a single bet over the limit (for example ₱250) can cancel the bonus and any winnings from it.
- Expiry: unfinished wagering after the deadline means the bonus is removed.
- Withdrawal before completion: requesting a withdrawal early often forfeits the bonus.
- Excluded payment methods or games: some deposits do not qualify at all.
Cashback and rebates
Cashback returns part of your net losses; a rebate returns part of what you bet. Since May 2026, PAGCOR has capped cash rebates at 1.5% of turnover or deposit for slots, e-bingo, numeric games and sports betting, and cashback at 15% of net losses for e-games. An offer above these levels is a reason to check the operator carefully.

Should I always decline bonuses?
Not always, but only accept one when you understand the basis, weighting, max bet and expiry, and when the expected cost is acceptable to you. Declining keeps your deposit freely withdrawable.
Does a low wagering number mean a good bonus?
It helps, but check the basis and game weighting too. 10x on deposit + bonus can be harder than 15x on the bonus only.
