How to spot a fake or copycat gambling site

Why copycat sites exist
A copycat site copies the name, logo and look of a licensed brand, then takes deposits and never pays withdrawals. They spread through social-media ads, group chats, SMS links and “agents”. Because they look real, the only reliable defence is to check the exact web address before you deposit.
Six checks before you register
- Find the brand on PAGCOR’s official list at pagcorguarantee.ph and open the site from that link, not from an ad or message.
- Compare the address letter by letter: extra letters, hyphens, swapped letters (rn for m) or a different ending (.com instead of .ph) mean a different site.
- Never send money to a personal GCash, Maya or bank account. Licensed operators take deposits through their own cashier.
- Install apps only from the link on the operator’s official site or an official app store — not an APK sent in a chat.
- Be wary of “guaranteed” wins, huge bonuses with no wagering terms, or pressure to deposit now.
- Look for real responsible-gaming tools (limits, self-exclusion) and full terms you can read before signing up.
“Agents” and deposit helpers
Someone offering to “load” your account, recover a blocked withdrawal for a fee, or sell a winning system is almost always running a scam. A real operator never asks you to pay a fee to release your own winnings.
If you think you were scammed
Stop sending money. Keep screenshots of the site address, chats and payment receipts. Report the payment to your e-wallet or bank straight away, and report the site to PAGCOR through its official website. Be careful of “recovery services” that promise to get your money back for a fee — they are a common second scam.

PAGCOR licensed sitesFAQs
The site has a PAGCOR logo. Is that enough?
No. Anyone can copy a logo. Check that the exact web address is on PAGCOR’s own list.
How does this site check addresses?
We list only websites that appear on PAGCOR’s official list, and we check every link daily. If a site starts redirecting to a new domain, a reviewer confirms it before we use it.
